We gather for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:30am.

Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and   third Sunday of each month. The second and fourth Sundays our worship is The Service of the Word.


What to Expect:

• Expect to be warmly welcomed! One of our gifts at Calvary Lutheran of Swede Home is hospitality and we love to have new people join us.
• Expect that the service will be easy to follow because we use a worship folder that includes even the music. 
• Expect that worship will be liturgical.  (The liturgy is the order that the service follows. It follows formats from the early Christian Church.)    
• Expect that we will have worked hard to plan a service that is fresh and meaningful.  We hope that you experience it that way.

Worship Schedule: 

• Sunday morning worship: 10:30 a.m.
• Christmas Eve: 9:00 p.m.
• Ash Wednesday 7:00 p.m. 
• Lenten Service: Each Wednesday in Lent, supper at 6:00 p.m. and worship at 7:00 p.m.  
• Holy Week Worship: Palm/Passion Sunday, Maundy Thursday at First Lutheran in Rising City, Good Friday, Easter Vigil ant Swede Home.  Easter morning at each church

Holy Humor Sunday 2016

Special Services:
Several times during the year, worship will have a special focus. It is our hope that through these services will help you deepen your faith and connect with God in new ways. Past special services have included:

• Refugee Sunday- focusing on God' s justice and mercy in today's world
• Holy Humor Sunday- Continued celebration Easter and the great "joke" God played on Satan when Christ was raised from the dead
• American Voices Service- Celebration of our heritage and faith on the weekend before July 4th
